Amy Hutto

Amy Hutto is an award-winning artist and dedicates most days to time in her studio painting. After 23 years as a professional educator, she is now a full time artist based in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Hutto’s art centers on her love of animals and nature and combines elements of both abstract and semi-realistic styles.

Her work begins with an abstract foundation which often includes elements of nature. From there, she sketches the animals and uses acrylics in a variety of forms from glazes to heavy body to bring her creations to life. She also uses genuine gold leaf to accent the piece.
